A tall, stately campanula, pale blue/lilac or white. Makes a dynamic statement at the back of the border and is also lovely cut flower if you can bear to remove it from the garden! Masses of blooms on stems up to 2m high. Much in demand by visitors to the garden! |
Sowing and/or growing instructions |
Sow thinly on the surface of moist, but not waterlogged, good quality seed compost. Cover with clear plastic to retain moisture and keep at 60-65F/15-18C. Do not exclude light, which is required for germination. Carefully transfer seedlings to small pots or modules when they are large enough to handle. Keep moist, but not over-watered. Grow on in cool conditions, preferably offering some shelter such as a cold frame - the small plants are delicate and will not respond well to too much heat or sunlight. |
