|Chaenomeles speciosa 'Geisha Girl' AGM|
|A very attractive and useful hardy, semi-evergreen shrub with masses of soft peach flowers in Spring. Easy to grow and well worth trying. Flowers are nectar-rich so attractive to bees. Also makes a good hedging plant.
NOTE: Plants will either be from rooted offsets from my 'Geisha Girl' and will therefore produce identical plants, or from seed, in which case colour cannot be guaranteed (the same applies, of course, to seed when available).
|Sowing and/or growing instructions|
|Needs no special treatment if grown in autumn, but in warmer periods it is advisable to stratify the seed for a couple of months in the fridge or freezer. Germination should take place once the temperature reaches about 70F (or heat can be provided). Either allow plants to spread at will, or prune out forward-pointing stems and train against a wall.|
